This course will cover the necessary skills to give you the confidence to walk in the mountains in winter. Designed for those with some hill walking experience this course includes; use and choice of ice axe and crampons, equipment selection, winter navigation and self arrest skills. Over the four days you will practice and develop these skills whilst climbing some of the amazing Munros around Aviemore. These are full days out, in very real situations, but you will always be under the expert tuition of one of Quest 4 Adventures highly qualified staff.
This is the perfect course for those wanting to tackle such challenges as the Lakes 3000’s in Winter, as seen in Trail Magazine Feb ’10, in which our instructor, Ali offered some great tips (see below for PDF).

| Location: | Throughout Scotland, according to your aspirations, but generally either in the Fort William or Cairngorm areas. Also in the Lake District if conditions allow. |
